My grandma made and wore this dress in the 60's. She once told me that in high school, she would come home every day and make a new outfit so she could have something new to wear the next day! She was a great designer, but more than that she was a great person. She passed away a few months ago so it is all the more special that I have this dress that she designed and hand made.
The Elodie bag is now finally available for pre-order! I know some of you have been waiting for this for a long time. Thank you so much for hanging in there with me! Today is kind of a special day because not only am I getting to the point where I'll have enough inventory to not run out of stock, but it is also my birthday. And as I'm sitting here reflecting on this last year, what I feel more than anything is gratitude. A year ago, I was scared that when I launched, no one would by my bags....
Bags will be restocked soon! Updates will be posted on instagram @skyelefevre.
I've been working hard to finish making handbags to restock soon. Here are a few close up pictures of the process.
This last week, I got to collaborate with Lauren Smith of www.lifetolauren.com. The photo shoot took place in Uptown Park, Houston. I chose this place because in so many ways it has a feeling of what my brand is. The European influence of the arches mixed perfectly with a cosmopolitan feel of the shops and restaurants. And Lauren was so great to work with. She is so graceful and kind and worked with me to get the right style and feel for the shoot. I loved working with her and I love how the photos turned out!
